I Love You S'more

The story seems to be all the same lately for those of us in the Northeast... Snow. Rain. Freezing Rain. Some Sleet. More Snow. Weather men who don't know what they're talking about. School Cancellations. You know, the usual.

But I'm happy to say that with another batch of winter weather headed my way, I made the decision to run to Millersville, to my boyfriend and to gluten-free s'mores.

Yes, that's right - S'mores.

Stan the Man
Ryan being the wonderful boyfriend that he is, took the time to make a trip to Giant to wander about the aisles in search of anything gluten-free and potentially delicious. Luckily for me, Marshmallow Peeps, Gluten/Soy/Dairy-free Chocolate Chips and GF Graham Crackers made the list. (Plus Alfredo Noodles and Sausage... yum)

"He's a keeper."

Making gluten free winter-friendly s'mores is simpler than you'd think. If you're snowed (well, iced really) in like we are, try it for yourself. I suppose you could use real graham crackers, too.

All you do is preheat the oven to 350, make multiple attempts at getting the crackers to break in the center, top one side with chocolate chips and the other with marshmallows (we recommended Vanilla Creme and Chocolate Mousse flavored Peeps, though) and bake for three to five minutes until the marshmallow puffs and the chocolate melts.

And after that short five minutes (which may seem longer than usual considering the delicious s'mores you're anxiously waiting for), a graham cracker version of Flat Stanley, lots of silly pictures and checking the oven sixteen times... you will end up with something like this:

Pure happiness.
[In the form of chocolateymarshmallowy goodness, that is.]
